The campaign will be run on 170 vehicles, advertisements on social media and De Lijn's other communication channels.

De Lijn recently launched an awareness campaign to combat the increasing aggression on public transport. De Lijn drivers and inspectors ensure that travelers get to work, school, sports fields or the clubhouse safely and on time. And just like everyone else, De Lijn employees also demand respect and a safe working environment.

To reinforce this message, the campaign shows four colleagues who tell concisely what drives them in their spare time. They want to be able to play football, swim, cook, read and bird watch unharmed, just like any other citizen. Because: De Lijn employees are more than their job. The campaign will be run on 170 vehicles, advertisements on social media and De Lijn's other communication channels.

“Our people must be able to perform their jobs under optimal conditions. This means that they want to work in a safe and pleasant environment and are entitled to respect”.

To reinforce the message, the campaign shows four colleagues who concisely explain what drives them in their spare time.

“As minister of guardianship, I support any initiative that contributes to a safe working environment for De Lijn employees. Attention to the dignity of the drivers and inspectors is certainly part of this. This campaign is part of De Lijn's safety plan, which includes better closed driver's posts, video surveillance, stricter checks, prevention measures and more cooperation with the police. The core message is and remains: you don't touch our employees.”

Dorien, Ali, Shana and Joost want to show their commitment to De Lijn, their colleagues and travelers by participating in this campaign. That is why they are fully committed to RESPECT. The co-workers of The line are more than their job, according to the Belgian transport company.
