In order to meet the needs of travelers as closely as possible, the carriers U-OV and Syntus Utrecht draw up plans for regional public transport every year.

The public transport timetable is adjusted every year. Together with the carriers U-OV and Syntus Utrecht, the province of Utrecht considers it important to know what you as a traveler think of the timetable. That is why they would like to hear the opinion of travelers about the proposed plans for public transport in Utrecht. Travelers can complete the survey online before May 7. The survey is open to everyone.

In order to meet the needs of travelers as closely as possible, the carriers U-OV and Syntus Utrecht draw up plans for regional public transport every year. On some lines the route changes or the frequency changes. Proposals have also been included to respond to (expected) passenger growth by driving more journeys.

This year, the province of Utrecht asked the carriers to draw up a basic plan in which the current level is maintained. In addition, the carriers are making proposals for expansions: the plus package. Fewer journeys than planned have been made in recent months due to a shortage of staff. The province wants to use this money to enable an expansion of the transport offer in the coming years. The final timetable and any plus package for 2024 will be determined in September.

Together with the carriers U-OV and Syntus Utrecht, the province of Utrecht considers it important to know what you as a traveler think of the timetable.

The survey has been designed in such a way that the traveler receives only those questions that relate to the region in which people travel by public transport. There is also an opportunity to answer all questions. The new timetable will be drawn up partly on the basis of these findings. The new timetable will come into effect on 10 December.

Let's hear from you

Before the day-to-day management of the province of Utrecht decides on the plans in mid-September, it is the turn of the traveler first. Travelers can complete the survey before May 7. Anyone who responds and wishes to do so will be kept informed of the results by the province of Utrecht and will receive both the final transport plan and a summary of all responses to the survey. These comments are of course anonymous. In addition to travelers, the municipalities, interest group ROCOV and adjacent concession providers and carriers are also being consulted about the plans for the 2024 timetable.
