The ticket is valid nationwide from 1 May at all local and regional transport associations. The Federal Council has recently cleared the way for this.

“Bus and train travel has never been so easy and cheap as with the Deutschland-Ticket. The ticket finally puts an end to the fare jungle in local transport. Above all, our customers save money: we drive them back and forth across the country for a month - for the price of half a tank of fuel in a private car. This is an incentive to travel in a climate-friendly and uncomplicated way."

The fastest way to get a Germany ticket is through the DB Navigator app. Customers can also take out a subscription on bahn.de and in all DB travel centres. By switching, about three-quarters of DB customers can travel more cheaply than their previous season ticket.

BahnCard 100 customers also benefit: The BahnCard 100 is also valid as Germany ticket. The currently more than 46.000 BahnCard 100 customers incur no additional costs for this.
