The European Mobility Week is the European campaign on sustainable urban mobility, organized with the political and financial support of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission. European Mobility Week takes place from 16-22 September each year and offers cities the opportunity to try out innovative traffic and transport planning, promote new uses of infrastructure and raise awareness about sustainable mobility within their communities. In 2022, almost 3000 towns and cities from 51 countries took part in the European Mobility Week.

Mobility actions offer a wide range of organizations the opportunity to share mobility management best practices throughout the year. The campaign also encourages people to opt for active and sustainable mobility such as public transport, walking and cycling. Sustainable mobility can help save fuel, reduce CO2 emissions, improve air quality and make Europe's urban areas more pleasant to live and work in.
