“Business as usual” is not an option for travelers and the environment. That is why Sonila Metushi called on all relevant stakeholders to accelerate the deployment of MaaS.

After almost 5 wonderful years, as Sonila Metushi herself writes in her farewell email to the members of the MaaS lab, she is leaving Royal Dutch Transport (KNV). Sonila Metushi wants to take the next step in her career and will start working at ABN AMRO from 1 February 2023 as Public Affairs Manager EU.

IRU Taxi Group chairman

Sonila Metushi is no stranger to the Brussels-based IRU. The IRU had last year appointed Metushi as president of IRU Taxi Group where they, along with Armand Joseph-Oudin of the Union Nationale des Industries du Taxi (UNIT) in France and Pierre Steenberghen of GTL in Belgium, who were both elected Vice Presidents, sit took. Metushi took over the chairmanship there from Christian Holzhauser, the representative of the Austrian taxi business association.

"I loved working with Sonila Metushi within the MaaS-Lab. Her knowledge, ideas and approach contributed to the success of the MaaS-Lab. A great loss for the KNV and the MaaS ecosystem."

While Sonya looking forward to this new challenge in a new sector, she also leaves behind a wonderful sector. KNV is now looking for a successor for its portfolios. For questions about the MaaS-Lab or the MaaS Agreement System, we can contact Arjan Vaandrager (on the right in the photo) who, in addition to Sonila, also has extensive knowledge of the MaaS subject and has worked with her for years.

Metushi was also no stranger to the MaaS Knowledge Café. Sonila welcomed the participants and invited all market parties involved in MaaS to join the MaaS Lab and contribute to an open, scalable and inclusive MaaS ecosystem. You could leave the exchange of knowledge about the development of MaaS in the Netherlands and Brussels to her. The MaaS Knowledge Cafés are jointly organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, CROW and the MaaS Lab of Royal Dutch Transport.

We wish Sonila every success in her new challenge.
