Parcel service DPD Netherlands recently opened a new distribution center on Livingstoneweg in Goes. With the new distribution center, DPD is further expanding its capacity in the Netherlands to continue facilitating rapid growth. In addition, the delivery time and CO2 emissions of parcel delivery in Zeeland are greatly reduced.

The new location has a total floor area of 3500 m² and a sorting machine that is more than 250 meters long. The new center will provide more than 50 additional workplaces. In line with its sustainability policy, DPD has opted to completely renovate the existing business premises in Goes instead of rebuilding it. In addition, the roof of the distribution center is completely equipped with solar panels, according to the company Packet service.

“After opening the Maastricht depot two years ago, we are now opening the depot in Goes. By opening new depots, we are continuously expanding our capacity in order to be able to respond to the demands from our customers, the market and to be able to process peak volumes quickly. In addition, we are also looking at how we can plan our routes more efficiently and how we can significantly reduce our CO2 emissions. We do this, among other things, by using electric vehicles.”
