The Flower Parade Bollenstreek is going to run! The corso fans have had to miss the parade for two consecutive springs. But the time has finally come and the Flower Parade Bollenstreek will once again drive radiantly from Noordwijk to Haarlem on Saturday 23 April. Moreover, this time with a very festive spring message, because this spring 75 years Bloemencorso Bollenstreek will be celebrated.

" yes, we are going to drive, we are now blowing the dust off the cars that have been patiently waiting for two years in various sheds of growers and export companies. In the meantime, a number of new designs have also been made. Very exciting. Whether we can also receive an audience there is still a question mark in the construction area. For that, the current rules have to be released. So we are looking forward to that with great anticipation."

Heemskerk says he is proud that the Bloemencorso Bollenstreek will drive for the first time as Intangible Heritage Netherlands and under the flag of Unesco Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The board and the hundreds of volunteers want to celebrate this exuberantly with the most beautiful parade ever. Also because it is the 75th time that the Flower Parade is held. 'Yes, we just keep counting,' says Heemskerk. 'Because in 2020 and 2021 we will also have the flower parade in name and feeling by celebrating spring with the entire region on a scale that was feasible at the time.

The public can look forward to a number of those heartwarming flower campaigns again this year.' Furthermore, the chairman does not want to say much about the program: 'Friday 11 March we will first share the news with all participants and the most involved volunteers. Until then, I'll keep quiet for a while.'
