Bridgestone and EVBox Group announce a long-term partnership to expand Europe's charging infrastructure with the installation of up to 3.500 new EVBox AC and DC charging stations, supported by EVBox Charge Management. The installations will take place throughout Bridgestone's European retail and service network, which includes well-known brands such as Speedy and First Stop.

The five-year project, one example of Bridgestone's commitment to sustainable mobility, will start in France and Italy before expanding to the UK, Germany, Spain and other European countries.

“Bridgestone is encouraging the transition to EVs across Europe by partnering with major manufacturers to develop premium tires and sustainable technologies that meet the specific demands of EVs. Building a full retail and service network is critical to helping drivers make the switch to electric transportation. Through this partnership, we support the necessary expansion of the charging infrastructure in Europe and provide drivers of electric vehicles with the convenience and efficiency they need. EVBox Group has been a leader in this industry since 2010, so establishing this partnership was an easy choice for us.”

An easier switch to electric for all drivers

Bridgestone's new charging network will consist of regular charging stations and fast chargers installed in strategic locations accessible to a variety of vehicles, including private cars and fleets. EVBox's fast chargers are installed on busy roads, so that drivers can get back on the road as quickly as possible. TSG, partner of EVBox Group, will lead the design, installation and maintenance of the EVBox charging infrastructure for Bridgestone's European retail and service network.

Thanks to the partnership between Bridgestone and EVBox Group, both private and business drivers will have access to one of the largest charging networks in Europe through a simple solution: a charge card or mobile app connected to EVBox Charge Management. The growing charging network provides access to more than 130,000 public charging points.

“TSG is delighted to be involved as a strategic partner of this project. In collaboration with Bridgestone and EVBox, we further contribute to the roll-out of charging infrastructure across Europe and Africa. We are committed to building a more sustainable future for mobility. Projects like these are essential in accelerating the transition to EVs by creating denser charging networks and providing quality charging services.”

With EVBox Charge Management, drivers and owners can efficiently manage charge sessions, payments and invoices through one central platform.

Stimulating sustainable mobility in several ways

With this partnership, Bridgestone's retail network also offers drivers the opportunity to purchase and install home charging stations. This makes it easier for drivers to switch to electric transport EVBox Group.

“We are extremely proud to partner with a company that shares the same ambitions and willingness to come up with innovative solutions to a global problem. Bridgestone is an organization driven to shape a sustainable future for mobility. We have seen this reflected after many recent announcements and new collaborations. This partnership is the start of a long-term relationship between like-minded industry leaders who will grow together as electric mobility grows around the world.”
