Many of us yearn for a week or two in the Ardêche this summer, a good glass of French wine and a barbecue at a campsite on the Côte d'Azur. According to Emmanuel Macron, it is too early to say that the borders will open, we will know that at the beginning of June. Everything remains unclear, because France has mainly caused confusion in recent weeks.

“We are going to limit large international trips, even during the summer holidays. We will stay between Europeans, maybe we should tie it in a bit depending on the epidemic, Macron warned after attending a school in Poissy (Yvelines).

Tourists would first be banned and a little later they would still be welcome but under strict measures. In any case, until the beginning of June, the French beaches and the accompanying beach bars will be closed, and even after that, we are not supposed to go there all together, if not depending on the state secretary responsible for tourism.

The French will first relax the rules for their own population, in order to get domestic tourism going, only then will foreign tourism be looked at in a subsequent phase. In short, that ride along the autoroute du soleil is still highly uncertain.
