In Austria, hotels and other guest accommodations may reopen from May 29. Also the Austrian ski village Ischgl, which was previously often called the Ibiza of the Alps, is open again. But the the big question is still who is responsible for the widespread distribution of the coronavirus in Ischgl.

Meanwhile, the Austrian police published an extensive report, but an answer to the question is still pending. In the meantime, an interim report was submitted on the research into the spread of the coronavirus in the Ischgl ski area. The approximately 1.000-page report is "very detailed and extensiveSaid the spokesperson for the Innsbruck prosecutor, Hansjörg Mayr.

After assessing the files, it is decided whether there is a reasonable suspicion. The public prosecutor's office has been investigating the suspected risk of infectious diseases since the end of March. Winter sports were the super-spreader of the coronaviris. Hundreds of Dutch people all migrate to the Tyrolean mountains in Ischgl year after year. And that is not surprising, because in the Paznaundal all holiday wishes are fulfilled.

A bartender in the Après ski bar Kitzloch may well be a spreader who has infected tens, if not hundreds, of European winter sports enthusiasts with the new corona virus. That is why there was strong criticism of Austria and the authorities in Tirol. It would have been too long for the ski areas to be closed to the public.

In Ischgl, large numbers of winter sports enthusiasts from countries in Germany, Norway and Denmark have become infected. Victims have now filed a lawsuit against Tyrol. They believe that the Austrian state has waited too long to take measures after it became clear that there was a corona outbreak in the ski area around Ischgl.

Consumer organization VSV says that ski resorts in Tirol have been kept open despite the risks. According to the group, this means that holidaymakers who became infected there may be entitled to compensation.
