Travel to Buenos Aires, home of Aerolineas Argentinas, is no longer there until after the summer. Argentina will no longer allow commercial domestic and foreign flights until September 1. It sets one of the most far-reaching travel restrictions in the world. In other South American countries, such as Ecuador, Peru and Colombia, it is also not allowed to fly, but not so long.

protest measures

Airlines in Argentina are protesting the measure, which they fear will cost thousands of jobs. Some have been struggling in recent years. The country's largest airline, Aerolineas Argentinas, is fully state-owned. Flights from Europe and the US had been suspended since March 16. Restrictions are in place in Brazil, Canada and the US, but not a total ban.

special flight

Aerolineas Argentinas did confirm the existence of a new special flight, this time from Barcelona. The arrival date at Ezeiza International Airport is scheduled for May 3 at 3.45:XNUMX am. Although it is a special flight allowed in the context of the global health crisis, the company reports in a statement that it is the return of Aerolíneas Argentinas to El Prat airport following the cancellation of its regular flight.

Aerolíneas Argentinas was founded in 1950. This airline is the market leader in South America and a member of the global SkyTeam alliance since 2012. Together with Austral Líneas Aéreas, the company offers flights to 20 international destinations in America and Europe, supplemented by 37 destinations across Argentina. The base is located in Buenos Aires.
