From the taxi sector, questions are asked why the profession of taxi driver is not a crucial profession and therefore not related to the list state of the crucial professions previously released by the government. Yesterday, FNV submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment that part of the healthcare transport and taxi is also seen as crucial. Think of patient transport, WMO transport, transport to and from the BSO / childcare. And the small-scale public transport that is done by companies.

KNV reported to the government last weekend that due to the loss of a lot of transport, no shortage of drivers was foreseen. Perhaps therefore the sector is not on the list and it is not a crucial profession. It is not yet known whether the government will adjust the list of crucial professions to this. The only consequence so far is that children of employees are not allowed to go to daycare and to go to school, as long as we are not on that list.

Due to the presence on the list, some parents or carers will be able to use the childcare at their own school or daycare in the coming period, so that they can make an effort to keep society going. These are professional groups that, in the circumstances of COVID-19, require continuous staffing. Even if you fulfill an indispensable function for one of these crucial professional groups, you can call on childcare.

Specifically for COVID-19, there are crucial professions to keep society going during the COVID-19 outbreak. Parents or carers who work on this can use childcare.
