For councilor Michael VanElck, since 2010 councilor for Liveable Rotterdam and perhaps one of the biggest opponents of Alderman's policy Sven de Lange (CDA), the measure is full. The Rotterdam politicians don't really know what to do with the Trevvel situation.

Two years after the start of the new provider of target group transport, according to van Elck the transport still not in order and time and again cause for questions within the Rotterdam Council. Of the more than 7000 trips that are carried out daily by Trevvel, complaints that have been received too often are under the magnifying glass.

research after research

Various studies were started to meet the wishes. The fact that the results are not entirely in line with expectations has to do with many factors. Perhaps the most important rule is to clearly define what can be expected from each other. This is the case between the carrier and the client, but certainly in the first place also for the traveler.

The often heard problem is that the expectation pattern of the Trevvel traveler is sometimes different from the agreements made between the municipality and the carrier. The main source of annoyance to travelers is the indications that are not always correct.

A traveler who has a car with low entry expected and sees a van driving by is not happy about that. And how do you put two travelers together in the front of the bus when there is no indication but the traveler still wants to in the front and not in the back next to another traveler with a dog.

results are not always very positive.

“No, I find it disappointing myself and I had thought that after 2 years with a new transport provider, things would have been handled better and that people would be satisfied with the service of the transport.” thus Ingrid van Wifferen (D66)

How is it possible that those improvements are not yet complete. That is also not entirely clear what causes it and it is difficult to fully surface.

increasing traffic

Is it due to IT systems, a much too long period of T-Mobile malfunctions in Rotterdam, as a result of which data communication and Track & Trace systems did not work optimally or not at all, or is it still uncomfortable?  In any case, a part can be explained by increasing traffic, making some parts of the city inaccessible within the expected Trevvel travel times.

“Alderman de Langen says that it is always being worked on, too easy to say and you will get away with that in the beginning, but I have already heard that 10 times. Now I want to see them take that stepMichel van Elck said.
