The International headquarters of Tech Company Uber moved to Tripolis Park on the Zuidas in Amsterdam. Uber will occupy the monumental Tripolis Park in 2022 and will become the largest tenant there.

The news from the real estate market is that Uber will occupy 30.000 m2 of the 45.000 m2 in the Tripolis complex. The Tripolis complex was designed in the 90s by Aldo van Eyck and is a municipal monument.

It is being redeveloped by project developer Flow into an eco-friendly and vibrant city campus, while preserving the iconic towers. In addition to offices and facilities, there will also be affordable rental apartments. Construction will start next week and will take about 2,5 years.

Uber has had an Amsterdam office since 2012, which is now located at the Amstel station. The company is growing rapidly and will have to accommodate 600 employees in temporary office space in the near future. The growth can be explained by the launch of new subsidiaries, such as Jump, a shared service for electric bicycles. From an international point of view, the company is actually firing people because of the losses of Uber.
