From April 30, travelers who take the high-speed train will no longer have to interrupt their journey in Brussels. The Eurostar as of this date runs directly from Amsterdam Central to London. The travel time to the British capital is therefore reduced to four hours. The direct Rotterdam-London connection will follow a few weeks later, on May 18.
The train left Amsterdam Central at 7.48 am on Tuesday morning as a first to open the official new route. This was done in the presence of Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen (Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management) and Ankie Broekers-Knol (State Secretary for Justice and Security). After 4 hours and 9 minutes, the train in London is greeted by Grant Shapps, Secretary of State for Transport in the United Kingdom.
Minister Van Nieuwenhuizen announced that checks in Brussels will soon no longer be necessary, and that will quickly save travelers an hour of travel time. In this way the train really becomes a fully-fledged alternative to the plane. The ticket prices are currently offered from EUR 59, -

London St Pancras station
After your journey, you will arrive at London St Pancras International Station, one of the largest bus terminals in London, located right next to King's Cross station. Since November 2007 it has been the London starting point of the Eurostar, the high-speed link through the Channel Tunnel.
