Members of the House of Representatives Lilianne Ploumen en John Kerstens (both MPs from the Labor Party) have both submitted to the Minister for Medical Care BJ Bruins on January 8 asked questions asked about the faltering care transport in Overijssel.

The MPs ask the Minister whether he shares the opinion that people should not be victims of start-up problems and that health insurers Zilveren Kruis and Eno should therefore take alternative measures as soon as possible to bring people to and from the hospital, such as deploying a replacement taxi company?

The MPs are asking themselves whether health insurers Zilveren Kruis and Eno are fulfilling the responsibility and duty of care towards their customers with this faltering transfer of care transport to another transport service.

Question to Minister for Medical Care BJ Bruins is whether he is willing to enter into discussions with the aforementioned health insurers and request them to open a special telephone number that people in need of patient transport can call so that they can be helped.
