Every year, the employees of Eindhoven's Censys BV decide in December which charity they want to support. Because the company has a lot to do with transport with Pitane Mobility solutions, everyone decided to donate the Christmas amount this year to the Ambulance Wish Foundation and to put them in the limelight.

“You do not think about what it means for your mobility if you cannot move more than (semi) lying down or need too much equipment around you to be able to go somewhere ... the circle around you becomes very bad. small. ”, says Cathy van Beek, drs.

Ambulance Wish Netherlands Foundation is a group of 270 medically trained volunteers who fulfill the latest wishes of immobile (people who depend on ambulance transport) terminal patients on a daily basis, using ambulances specially developed for this purpose.

“The loving and beautiful work of many volunteers, so that terminal people who are no longer mobile, can fulfill their last wishes completely free of charge, gives me as an artist, but even more as an ex-nurse, a deep sense of respect for this foundation . ”Said Marga Bult.

Idea for Ambulance Wish

The Rotterdam ambulance driver Kees Veldboer founded the foundation. He got the idea when he took a trip with a seriously ill sailor in 2007. He wanted to sail once. Veldboer arranged a tour for him through the port area. This is how the idea for Ambulance Wish was born. The organization made more than 13.300 wishes in twelve years.

“When I was mayor of Albrandswaard, I worked with Kees Veldboer on a suitable location for the foundation. Because from the kitchen of Kees and Ineke it really didn't work anymore. ”, Says Harald M. Bergmann - Mayor Middelburg

The Jan Bos House

Since 3 August 2012, the Ambulance Wish Foundation has its own holiday home, het Jan Bos House, in the woods of Beekbergen. The Jan Bos House is designed in such a way that the reclining patient can travel around the house with a bed / stretcher and can go outside with the bed. There is also the option of showering the patient lying down. The patients can use this house for free and can take one family member with them, they can stay here for a maximum of 2 days and our volunteers stay there for the care.

Charities

Pitane Mobility supports a charity every year instead of handing out bottles of wine to customers and / or sending Christmas cards. Last year, support went to Passion for People, a foundation that supports and further develops the Trinity Hospital Muona in Limbe, in the south of the African third world country Malawi.
