BP has introduced its first trial with a local 'on-demand' delivery service in the Netherlands. BP2you starts for a six-month trial period in Utrecht where customers are given the opportunity to order food and drinks and have them delivered from their local petrol station to a location of their choice. As an extension of the trial, customers can also choose to have their parcels delivered to BP petrol stations and have them delivered at a more convenient time to a location specified by them.

BP will initially supply its customers from the BP gas station Galgenwaard. Via the new BP2you app, customers can order products, choose where they want them delivered (within a radius of four and a half kilometers from the petrol station) and pay. The ordered products will then be delivered by bicycle within 30 minutes.

The trial started on November 4 and the BP2you app is now available on Google Play and in the Apple App store. Responding to the 'millennial mindset' and the behavior of consumers when ordering food and drinks, Utrecht is the ideal location for the BP test because the target group (including students and young working people) is well represented here. Utrecht is also a flat and compact city, which is ideal for delivering products by bicycle.

BP Advanced Mobility

The BP2you trial is in line with BP Advanced Mobility's ambition to find better ways to bring people and the products they need together.

If successful, will BP look at further expansion of the trial and roll out BP2you within the Netherlands, followed by other European countries.
