FNV gives KLM a last chance to come up with a good collective labor agreement proposal. If the airline does not respond to the demands of the union for next Tuesday, actions and possibly work stoppages will follow.

The cabin crew has helped KLM out of the fire several times in recent years by submitting terms of employment. Now is the time for KLM to give something back ”, said FNV director Birte Nelen.

Last week, 65 percent of FNV Cabine members turned down the final offer KLM made for a new collective labor agreement. Nelen: 'The wage offer has no support among the staff in this financially good time. There is also no support for a number of substantive points, in particular the Europe block protection pilot. " This is an investigation into offering more certainty about start and end times, for which KLM wanted to increase the number of hours to be flown per day in exchange.

Work interruptions are not excluded by FNV.

FNV has been negotiating with other unions since May on a new collective labor agreement for KLM cabin crew. FNV wants a four percent salary increase per year and a minimum floor amount of 100 euros gross per month. KLM's first offer averaged 1,35 percent per year and the final offer averaged 2,5 percent per year. Over the course of two years and nine months, that would total seven percent. What actions or work stoppages will follow if KLM does not respond to the ultimatum, is still to be seen.
