Note Passenger transport in Ede takes 600 new Mercedes-Benz vans into use: 400 Vito Tourers for the transport of students and 200 Sprinter wheelchair buses. The delivery of the new vehicles has now started and will be completed before the end of this year.

The order, which is unique in Dutch terms, came about through a very good cooperation between Note, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz Vans Nederland and Van ProCenter Stern Auto.Noot in Ede specializes in group and wheelchair transport. Every day, the company transports children, the elderly and people with disabilities to school, day care or care institution - throughout the Netherlands.

In order to meet the high demand, Noot has a fleet of approximately 1.700 vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz brand is traditionally well represented. The 600 Vitos and Sprinters that Noot is now purchasing replace part of the existing fleet.

The right cars, part of the perfect overall picture

“Our good relationship with Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services certainly played a role, but there is more. An order like this is a perfect overall picture. The vehicles themselves are of course important. We have always been pleased with the comfort, quality and low maintenance requirements of the Vito and Sprinter. We also attach great importance to the uniformity of our fleet ”, said Martijn Kersing, director of Nut.

But with an order like this, it is emphatically also about the financing demand, the administrative structure surrounding, for example, the BPM and more. In setting this up, Mercedes-Benz has positioned itself as a partner who thinks in solutions and who fulfills agreements. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and dealer Stern Auto have perfectly coordinated the entire process and ensure proper monitoring.

Teamwork for a special order

Mark Roelofs, account manager of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, is the connecting factor between all parties involved.

“Mercedes-Benz Vans, Van ProCenter Stern Auto and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services have made every effort to make this special order possible. Teamwork was the key to success and we are proud of the role we have played in this. Noot can serve its customers with a beautiful fleet. In good Mercedes-Benz tradition, safety and comfort are paramount ”, according to Mark Roelofs.

600 Vans

Henri Tordoir has managed the order on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Vans.

Tordoir: “Timing is crucial in such an order. The wishes of the customer and the production capacity must literally come together. Thanks to good consultation, we have succeeded in this. What also makes Noot's order special is that the company has opted for Vito's with automatic transmission.

That's a comfortable choice for the riders, but there are more advantages. Mercedes-Benz automatic transmissions are highly efficient and thus help control costs. And the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is also favorable because the automatic transmission has a positive effect on the residual value of the cars. These are details that taxi entrepreneurs can count on.

The delivery of the 400 Vitos and 200 Sprinters is in full swing. Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter Stern Auto takes care of this from the branch in Nijkerk. Paulo Brito de Campos, Sales Manager at Stern Auto is proud of this unique order.

“The delivery of 600 Vans is the culmination of an intensive and good cooperation between Noot, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and Stern Auto”, asaid Paulo Brito de Campos, Sales Manager at Stern Auto.

To ensure that the process runs smoothly, we deliver 10 Vitos and 5 Sprinters at a time every week. That is manageable for everyone, especially for Noot, because every car needs its own adjustments, such as the stickers and the placement of taxi meters, for example.
