Volocopter, the pioneer in urban air mobility, presented the design for its latest model air taxi, the VoloCity. This will be the fourth generation of electric take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) from the German Urban Air Mobility developer.

The VoloCity is designed to meet all safety standards specified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (enhanced SC-VTOL category) and includes user feedback and test data from all previous Volocopter generations.

With a calculated range of 35 km and a flight speed of 110 km / h, the VoloCity is designed to be used as an on-demand downtown air taxi.

Volocopter made aviation history with the first crewed flight of an electrically powered vertical take-off and landing aircraft in 2011. Since then, the German company has built three generations of aircraft.

Volocopter collaborates with international players such as Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt International Airport (FRA).
